Micromet Inc. (MITI) announced that it has appointed Jan Fagerberg as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer effective November 1, 2009. Fagerberg has more than 20 years of experience in clinical research and development of oncology drugs.
From 1995 to 1999 Jan held various clinical positions including Associate Head Section of Radiotherapy and Chief Physician at the Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm. Fagerberg joined Roche in 1999 and over the following seven years assumed positions of increasing responsibility. Since 2006 he has been Medical Director at TopoTarget in Copenhagen, Denmark.
