Alaska Airlines Sept. Load Factor Up - Quick Facts

Monday, Alaska Air Group Inc. (ALK) announced its September operational results for its subsidiaries, Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air.

Alaska Airlines said its September passenger load factor increased to 77.9% from 75.8% in the year-ago period. Revenue passenger miles or RPMs fro the month rose to 1.45 billion from 1.43 billion in the prior year period and Available seat miles or ASMs for the month declined to 1.86 billion from 1.88 billion in the previous year.

Horizon Air said its September passenger load factor grew marginally to 73.7% from 72.6% in the same period last year. Revenue passenger miles or RPMs for the month decreased to 199 million from 201 million a year ago. Available seat miles or ASMs for the month was 270 million, lower than 277 million in September 2008.
