Reports: Royal Bank Of Scotland Eyes 300 Branches Sell-off - Quick Facts

Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc (RBS, RBS.L) is considering a government-backed plan to give up all of its 312 RBS-branded branches in England and Wales in a move to satisfy EU Competition authorities, according to media reports.

Neelie Kroes, EU Competition Commissioner, may want to push RBS even further, reports stated. Neelie Kroes term of office expires at the end of the month, although the bank could well be in a position to present the conclusion of negotiations in the second week of November, reports added.
