Harris Corp. (HRS) announced Friday morning that it was awarded a $419 million Basic Purchasing Agreement contract to supply the U.S. Army with Falcon III AN/PRC-117G multiband tactical manpack radios and vehicular power-amplifier adapter systems.
Shares of Harris Corp. rose sharply in early trade Friday and climbed further during the afternoon. The stock closed higher by $2.66 at $39.88. Harris Corp. rose above a 3-week trading range and set an 8-month high.
