Thursday, Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. (ODFL) said its third-quarter net income dipped to $10.49 million or $0.28 per share from $23.35 million or $0.63 per share in the prior year period. On average, 15 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.32 per share for the quarter.
Revenue from operations for the quarter declined to $322.76 million from $415.87 million in the comparable period. Seven analysts estimated revenues of $331.61 million for the quarter.
