Chicago Bridge & Iron Company N.V. (CBI) reported third-quarter net income attributable to the company of $40.8 million or $0.42 per share, compared to $8.6 million or $0.09 per share, in the third quarter of 2008. Revenue for the quarter was $1.0 billion compared to $1.6 billion last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.39 per share on revenues of $1.11 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
