Wednesday, Owens Corning (OC) reported third-quarter net income attributable to the company of $80 million or $0.63 per share, compared to a loss of $807 million or $6.35 per share in the same quarter last year.
On an adjusted basis, net income was $78 million or $0.61 per share, compared to adjusted net income of $73 million or $0.57 per share in the year ago quarter.
On average, 11 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.39 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Net sales for the quarter was $1.3 billion, down from $1.6 billion in the comparable quarter last year. Analysts expected the company to report revenue of $1.31 billion for the quarter.
