On average, 36 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $1.74 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Quarterly revenues were $480.9 million, compared to $348.6 million in the previous year quarter. Thirty-four Wall Street analysts expected revenues of $528.78 million.
The company said the revenues for the period excluded the Sarnia project, which was over 65% completed at quarter end.
