Wednesday, Teck Resources Ltd. (TCK.A.TO, TCK) reported third-quarter net income of C$609 million or C$1.06 per share, compared to net income of C$424 million or C$0.95 per share in the year ago quarter.
Net income from continuing operations of C$582 million or C$1.02 per share, compared to C$427 million or C$0.95 per share in the same quarter last year.
On average, three analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn C$0.47 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues for the quarter increased to C$2.13 billion from C$1.74 billion in the comparable quarter last year.
