MicroStrategy Inc. (MSTR) reported net income of $21.4 million or $1.73 per share for the third quarter, compared to $11.1 million or $0.90 per share in the year-ago quarter.
Third quarter revenues increased 15% to $104.0 million from $90.6 million in the third quarter of 2008.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.94 per share on revenue of $91.95 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
