Friday, OneBeacon Insurance Group Ltd. (OB, OBIG) said its third-quarter net income attributable to the company's shareholders was $108.6 million or $1.14 per share compared with a loss of $210.3 million or $2.21 per share in the prior year period.
Adjusted operating income for the quarter increased to $32.2 million or $0.34 per share from $21.1 million or $0.22 per share in the year-ago period. On average, 7 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.40 per share for the quarter.
Total revenues for the quarter soared to $650.5 million from $162.8 million in the comparable period.
