Looking forward, for the fiscal year 2009, the company increased its previously announced earnings per share guidance to a range of $1.42 to $1.46 from a range of $1.38 to $1.44. Street analysts expect earnings of $1.48 per share.
The company lifted its domestic system-wide comparable sales guidance to a range of negative 0.25% to positive 0.25% from its previous forecast in the range of negative 1% to flat.
