Spectra Energy Corp. (SE) reported that its third-quarter net income from controlling interests was $191 million or $0.30 per share, compared to $296 million or $0.48 per share, in the prior year quarter.
Ongoing net income was $190 million, or $0.30 per share, compared to $302 million or $0.49 per share, during the same period last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.26 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Operating revenues for the quarter were $933 million, down from $1.08 billion in the prior year quarter. Six analysts had consensus revenue estimate of $986.24 million for the quarter.
