STEC Inc. (STEC) reported third quarter EPS of $0.50 after the bell Tuesday, which came in above the consensus estimate of $0.47. The company expects to report fourth quarter EPS of $0.51 to $0.53, compared to the consensus estimate of $0.52.
STEC Inc. gapped open sharply lower Wednesday and declined until mid-morning. Shares fell further in the final 90 minutes of the afternoon and closed down by $9.01 at $14.14 on the highest volume of the year. The stock sank to over a 5-month low and fell below its 200-day moving average.
