American Medical Systems (AMMD) reported third quarter EPS of $0.27 after the close Wednesday, which topped the consensus estimate of $0.20. The company expects to report fourth quarter EPS of $0.29 to $0.33 and full year 2009 EPS of $1.10 to $1.14. The consensus estimates are for EPS of $0.32 and $1.06.
American Medical Systems gapped open higher Thursday, but has since moved in a narrow range. Shares have climbed in the last 15 minutes on increased volume and are now up 1.97 at $17.42. The stock has risen past resistance, to set a new high for the year.
