VeriSign Inc. (VRSN) reported GAAP net income attributable to the company and subsidiaries of $54 million or $0.28 per share for the third quarter, compared to a loss of $201 million or $1.03 per share in the prior year quarter.
On a non-GAAP basis, net income attributable to VeriSign and subsidiaries was $64 million or $0.33 per share for the latest quarter.
Revenues for the third quarter increased to $258.0 million from $245.9 million in the previous year quarter.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.32 per share on revenue of $258.79 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
