Compuware Completes $295 Mln Gomez Acquisition - Update

Application software maker Compuware Corp. (CPWR) said Monday that it has completed its $295 million acquisition of privately held Gomez, Inc., which manages, tests and measures the performance of corporate Web sites and mobile applications.

The deal was originally announced last month.

The acquisition adds about 270 employees to Compuware, including the entire Gomez leadership team. Jaime Ellertson will remain with the organization and serve as President of Gomez, which will run as the Web Performance Division of Compuware.

Compuware will retain the Gomez brand, technology portfolio and business model while moving purposefully to achieve additional technical, sales and marketing synergies.

Compuware expects the acquisition to be operationally accretive this fiscal year.

Compuware shares are currently trading at $7.56, up 7 cents.
