Carl Icahn announced that it has raised his offer for notes issued by CIT Group Inc.(CIT). Icahn said it is now offering to pay $650 per $1,000 of principal in certain senior notes that are covered in his tender offer. The tender offer is open for acceptance until December 2, 2009, unless extended or withdrawn.
