Nu Skin Enterprises Lifts Q4, FY09 Outlook; Guides FY10 - Quick Facts

Nu Skin Enterprises Inc. (NUS) said that it raised its fourth quarter and 2009 revenue and earnings per share guidance, and announces guidance for 2010. Nu Skin raised its fourth quarter revenue outlook to a range of $360 million to $365 million range, from the prior range of $343 million to $348 million. The company also increased earnings per share guidance to be in the $0.37 to $0.39 range, including a planned $0.01 restructuring charge, up from the prior range of $0.32 to $0.34.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect the company to report earnings of $0.36 per share on revenues of $347.98 million for the fourth-quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For 2009, the company now expects earnings to be in the range $1.30 to $1.32 per share, including restructuring charges of approximately $0.13. Earlier, the company had expected earnings to be in the range of $1.25 - $1.27 per share.

The company raised its fiscal 2009 revenue outlook to a range of $1.313 billion - $1.318 billion, from the prior range of $1.29 billion - $1.30 billion.

Analysts expect the company to report earnings of $1.41 per share on revenues of $1.30 billion for fiscal 2009.

The company also announces 2010 annual revenue expectations of $1.37 billion to $1.4 billion with earnings per share of $1.60 to $1.70. Analysts expect the company to report earnings of $1.62 per share on revenues of $1.39 billion for fiscal 2010.
