Isis Pharmaceuticals Inc. (ISIS) and Genzyme (GENZ) announced data from the phase 3 study of mipomersen Tuesday morning, in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia. The study met its primary endpoint and also met each of its secondary endpoints.
Isis Pharmaceuticals sharply declined until around the middle of Tuesday morning and finished down by $2.28 at $11.12 on the highest volume of the year. The stock sank below a 3-week range and closed at an 11-month low.
