Terra Industries Inc. (TRA) announced around 10:30AM Thursday that based on preliminary estimates, CF Industries Holdings Inc.'s (CF) three nominees were elected to the Terra Board of Directors.
Terra Industries spiked to the upside around the time of the news release and climbed throughout the first half of the afternoon. The stock finished higher by 1.96 at $40.06 on the highest volume in 9 months. Shares have been on an upward trend for the last 3 weeks and set a new high for the year.
