Seven Palestinians Injured In Israeli Planes Strike In Gaza

Israeli planes carried out air strikes against targets in the Gaza Strip in response to a rocket attack from the Gaza Strip on Saturday, media reported. Palestinian medical workers reportedly said that seven Palestinians were wounded in the air strike.

The attacks occurred one day after Hamas said it reached an agreement with smaller armed groups in the territory to stop sporadic rocket fire towards Israel. The Israel-Gaza border was somewhat calm after Israel ended a 22-day war against Hamas in the territory in January.

Citing an army spokesman, reports said that the rocket had targeted two factories in the central and northern Gaza used to make weapons and a smuggling tunnel under the border with Egypt.

Meanwhile, the military wing of Islamic Hamas movement reportedly vowed to respond to the Israeli air strike in the Gaza Strip.
