Kirkland's Inc. gapped open slightly higher Friday and posted sharp gains during the first half hour of trade. The stock took out the highs of the session going into the close and finished up by $2.44 at $15.72 on the highest volume in 5 months. The stock climbed above resistance and set a new high for the year.
