J. Crew Group (JCG) reported third quarter EPS of $0.67 after the close Tuesday, up from the $0.30 in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.58. The company expects to report fourth quarter EPS of $0.37 to $0.42, compared to the consensus estimate of $0.40.
J. Crew Group gapped open sharply higher Wednesday and posted gains in early trade. The stock moved in a range for the majority of the session and closed up by $3.20 at $44.05 on the highest volume in 6 months. Share broke out of a one-month range and set a new high for the year.
