State-run MTNL on Tuesday announced the pay-per-second plan with an offering of one paise per second, report media.
Many telecom players, including Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and MTS, had announced the pay-per-second plan, following the Tata DoCoMo's announcement. Now, MTNL followed suit.
MTNL subscribers can make voice and video calls to MTNL Delhi and Mumbai networks at 1/2 a paise per second. The telecom operator also slashed SMS rates to 25 paise for local calls, Re.1 for national and Rs.2.50 for international SMS. Reliance Communications recently offered the one-paise-SMS rate with fixed monthly charges.
