Hawaiian Airlines, Inc., a subsidiary of Hawaiian Holdings, Inc. (HA), Monday reported an increase in traffic for November, compared to the same month of the previous year. Traffic for the month rose 2.4%, while capacity declined 4.1% from the comparable period last year. Load factor increased 5.3 percentage points from the previous year.
The Honolulu-based company's November traffic increased 2.4% to 644.28 million revenue passenger miles or RPMs from 629.24 million RPMs last year. Monthly capacity declined 4.1% to 763.45 million available seat miles or ASMs from 795.84 million ASMs a year ago. Load factor for October was 84.4%, up 5.3 percentage points from last year. Total passengers transported for the month increased 5.7% to 665 thousand from 629 thousand in the previous year.
Year-to-date, traffic increased 3.6% to 7.46 billion RPMs, on a 2.4% capacity rise to 8.90 billion ASMs from the comparable period last year. Load factor for the period increased 1 percentage points to 83.9% from a year ago. Passengers transported increased 6% to 7.64 million from 7.21 million a year-ago period.
HA is currently trading at $7.16, up 0.10 or 1.36%, on the Nasdaq.
