Children's Place Retail Stores Inc. (PLCE) reported that its comparable retail sales, which include online sales, increased 4% in December 2009, compared to an 5% increase in December 2008. Net sales were $224.4 million, up 10% from $204.6 million in the year ago period. During December 2009, comparable store sales increased 3% in the U.S. and declined 6% in Canada, while online sales increased 54%.
