Wednesday, Amdocs Ltd. (DOX) reported first-quarter net income of $88.4 million or $0.43 per share, compared to net income of $74.2 million or $0.35 per share in the same quarter last year.
On a non-GAAP basis net income was $113.1 million or $0.55 per share, compared to net income of $116.3 million or $0.55 per share in the year ago quarter.

Revenue for the quarter declined to $724.81 million from $753.84 million in the comparable quarter last year. Analysts expected the company to report revenue of $715.54 million for the quarter.
Looking ahead to the second quarter, the company expects revenue in the range of $730 million - $750 million with earnings in the range of $0.40 - $0.45 per share. On a non-GAAP basis earnings are expected to be in the range of $0.52 - $0.56 per share. Analysts currently anticipate the company to earn $0.54 per share on revenue of $725.40 million for the quarter.
