Assured Guaranty Ltd. (AGO), the holding company for direct bond insurers Assured Guaranty Corp. or AGC and Assured Guaranty Municipal Corp. AGM, announced that John Trahan has been named Managing Director, Southern Region for AGC and AGM.
"We've named John to this position to broaden our coverage of the southern region, as well as to enhance our service to customers in these states," said Mr. Hogan, Senior Managing Director, Municipal Finance of AGC and AGM.
Prior to joining AGC, Trahan was a director in the Public Finance Group at BNP Paribas in New York City, where he was responsible for business development and underwriting for municipal transactions in the eastern region of the United States. Before that, he held similar positions at KBC Bank and CIBC World Markets Corp. in Los Angeles and Sumitomo Bank and Texas Commerce Bank in Houston, the company said.
