Altera Corp. (ALTR) reported net income for the fourth quarter of $103.0 million, $0.34 per share, compared to $83.0 million, $0.28 per share, for the year-ago quarter.
Sales for the fourth quarter rose 16% to $365.00 million from $314.54 million in the prior year quarter.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.29 per share on reevnue of $334.88 million for the fourth quarter.
Looking forward, the company said first quarter sales to grow between 5% to 10% sequentially.
