Amylin Pharmaceuticals (AMLN) gapped open higher Tuesday morning, but traded in a range for the majority of the session. The stock finished higher by $1.56 at $19.01 on strong volume.
Amylin Pharmaceuticals has been gaining ground since the beginning of January and closed Tuesday at a new high for the year.
