MWW Group, a unit of Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc. (IPG), announced that it has appointed Dawn Lauer as vice president in the firm's corporate communications practice. Lauer, who began her career at MWW Group in 1999, brings more than ten years of experience leading and executing strategic communications campaigns across a variety of industries including healthcare, financial and professional services, B2B and higher education. In addition, Lauer brings expertise in corporate branding, positioning and thought leadership programs, as well as investor relations, crisis communication and social media initiatives.
Prior to joining MWW Group, Lauer was management supervisor in the corporate communications and digital divisions at Peppercom, where she was responsible for driving strategy, brand positioning, and the execution of hybrid thought leadership strategies through traditional and digital platforms. While at Peppercom, Lauer worked with such clients as Rockefeller Consulting Group, American Beverage Association, Tyco International, and Columbia University, among others.
