Dow Corning Corp, a joint venture equally owned by The Dow Chemical Co.(DOW) and Corning Inc.(GLW), reported that its fourth-quarter net income attributable to Dow Corning was $270.5 million, up 57% from net income of $172.6 million in the fourth quarter of 2008. Adjusted net income was $211.3 million, up from $174.2 million in the year ago quarter.
Net sales were $1.47 billion, up 13% from $1.30 billion in the same quarter of 2008.
