Air Canada January Traffic Up 4.1% - Quick Facts

Air Canada (AC-A.TO) reported that traffic for the month of January increased 4.1% on a capacity increase of 4.9%.

The airline said its January traffic rose 4.1% to 3.86 billion revenue passenger miles or RPMs from 3.71 billion RPMs in the same period last year.

The airline's January capacity was 4.99 billion available seat miles or ASMs, up 4.9% from 4.75 billion ASMs in the prior year period.

Load factor for January 2010 was 77.5%, down 0.6 points from 78.1% in January 2009.
