Thursday, Spirit AeroSystems Holdings Inc. (SPR) said its fourth-quarter net income increased to $50 million or $0.36 per share from $20 per share $0.14 per share in the prior year period. On average, 17 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.54 per share for the quarter.
Revenues for the quarter rose 67% to $1.07 billion from $646 million in the comparable period. Twelve analysts estimate revenues of $1.13 billion for the quarter.
Spirit earnings per share guidance for 2010 are expected to be between $1.50 and $1.70 on revenue guidance of $4.0 billion - $4.2 billion. Sixteen analysts estimate earnings of $1.87 per share and fifteen analysts estimate revenues of $4.14 billion for the year.
