Baker Hughes Inc (BHI) reported that worldwide rig count for January 2010 was 2,773, down from the 2,974 counted in January 2009. International rig count for January 2010 was 1,047, up 3 from the 1,044 counted in January 2009.
The US rig count for January 2010 was 1,267, down 286 from the 1,553 counted in January 2009. The Canadian rig count for January 2010 was 459, up 82 from the 377 counted in January 2009.
