Net 1 Ueps Technologies Inc. (UEPS) posted second quarter GAAP net income of $19.3 million or $0.42 per share, compared to $28.0 million or $0.49 per share in the prior year quarter. Fundamental earnings for the quarter rose to $23.2 million or $0.51 per share, compared to $20.2 million or $0.36 per share in the same period last year.
Revenue for the second quarter was $73.9 million, compared to $61.4 million in the year-ago period.
In addition, the company said it is comfortable with its guidance of at least 20% constant currency fundamental earnings per share growth for fiscal year 2010.
