UK Home Prices Rise Just 0.1% On Month - Rightmove

The average asking price for a home in the United Kingdom was up just 0.1 percent in March compared to the previous month, property tracking Web site Rightmove said on Monday.

That was the slowest rate of increase for the month of March in at least eight years, the site said, versus an average of 1.3 percent. It follows a 3.2 percent increase in February.

On an annual basis, home prices were up 5.3 percent following the 6.1 percent spike in the previous month.

The number of properties on the market jumped 17.5 percent on month and 34 percent on year, the data showed.
