Palm Inc. (PALM) reported a GAAP net loss attributable to common stockholders of $22.0 million or $0.13 per share for the third quarter, compared to a net loss of $98.0 million or $0.89 per share in the prior year quarter.
Non-GAAP net loss was $102.8 million or $0.61 per share, compared to a loss of $94.7 million or $0.86 per share n the year-ago quarter.
Revenue for the third quarter surged to $349.9 million from $90.6 million in the previous year quarter. On a non-GAAP basis, revenues would have been $366.0 million for the latest quarter.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.42 per share on revenue of $316.19 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
