Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (MRVL) on Monday introduced its new Chinese name for the company, "Mei Man", English pronunciation: may-my, which literally translates to "beautiful harmony."
The new Chinese name is reflective of Marvell's focus on leading-edge technology, its win-win business philosophy and its long-term commitment to semiconductor industry leadership in China and globally, the company said in a statement.
In China, the company has operations in Shanghai, Beijing, Hefei and Shenzhen. Marvell's flagship design center in Shanghai has more than 800 engineers serving China's largest electronics companies. In China, Marvell has strategic business relationships with some of the world's largest telecom, mobile, and consumer electronics manufacturers.
