Ancestry.com Q2 Profit Rises; Guides Q3 Revenues, Revises FY10 Reveue Forecast - Quick Facts

Ancestry.com Inc. (ACOM) posted second quarter net income of $8.5 million or $0.18 per share, compared to $4.7 million or $0.12 per share in the second quarter last year.

On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.15 per share for the period. Analysts' estimate typically exclude special items.

Total revenue for the quarter was $74.5 million, compared to $54.5 million in the previoous year quarter. Six Wall Street analysts expected revenues of $70.33 million.

Looking forward, for the third quarter 2010, revenue is estimated in the range of $75.0 to $77.0 million. Wall Street analysts expect revenues of $71.51 million.

Further ahead, for the full year 2010, revenue is now forecast in the range of $290 to $295 million, compared to its previous forecast in the range of $275 to $280 million. Wall Street analysts expect revenues of $279.05 million.
