Tuesday, Boston Globe, a New York Times company (NYT), appointed Jeff Moriarty as Vice President of digital content development. In this position, he will play a central role in shaping and executing digital strategies that expand the Globe audience beyond the newspaper and its online site, Boston.com.
Moriarty joins the Globe from About.com where he is senior vice president, product management at About.com, responsible for developing products and functionality that enhance the site's user experience. He joined About.com in 2009 with 15 years of experience developing and managing digital products across other properties of The New York Times Co. The appointment will take effect on September 13, 2010.
