MICROS Systems Inc. (MCRS) reported fourth quarter adjusted net income of $0.49 per share after the bell Thursday, up from $0.34 per share last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.41. Full year 2010 adjusted net income came in at $1.57, which topped the consensus estimate of $1.49.
MICROS Systems Inc. gapped open sharply higher Friday and rose further around midday. The stock ended the day up by 4.04 at $39.44 on the highest volume in 10 months. MICROS Systems broke out past resistance and set a new high for the year.
