Arch Capital Group (ACGL) rose steadily during the first half of the morning Wednesday and extended its gains in the final 90 minutes of the afternoon. The stock closed higher by 1.85 at $81.65.
Arch Capital Group climbed past the upper end of a one-month trading range Wednesday and set a new high for the year.
