In vitro diagnostics products maker IRIS International Inc. (IRIS) Tuesday said that Amin Khalifa will be appointed as Chief Financial Officer, after filing of the third quarter financial results. He will replace Martin McDermut who served as acting Chief Financial Officer since May 2010.
Khalifa is also appointed as Corporate Vice President of Finance, effective immediately.
Khalifa has approximately 30 years of senior finance and corporate management experience, and has served as Chief Financial Officer of companies like Apria Healthcare, Beckman Coulter and Leap Wireless.
Since 2007, Khalifa was a management consultant advising venture capital clients and operating companies on acquisitions, strategy and financial matters. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of PetSmart Inc. (PETM) and Chemaphor Inc. (CFR.V).
