GAIN Capital Holdings Inc. (GCAP) announced its initial public offering of 9 million shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $9.00 per share. The shares will begin trading today, December 15, 2010, on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "GCAP".
GAIN Capital is offering 407,692 shares of common stock and its selling stockholders are offering 8.59 million shares of common stock. Besides, certain selling stockholders have granted the underwriters an option to buy up to 1.35 million additional shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any.
The company said it will not receive any proceeds from the sale of shares by the selling stockholders.
