Reports: Zynga Considers Potential Entry Into Internet Gambling Business

Online social games developer Zynga Inc. (ZNGA) is considering a potential entry into the Internet gambling industry, possibly in partnership with another company, according to the several media reports. The company makes games like "FarmVille" that are popular on Facebook.

The U.S government's decision on online gambling is expected to be announced soon. The company is planning to transfer Facebook game to actual real money.

In December 2011, Zynga had said that it priced its initial public offering of 100 million shares of Class A common stock at $10 per share, the top end of its estimated range. The offering was said to be the biggest by an Internet company in the U.S. after Google Inc. (GOOG) raised $1.9 billion in 2004.
