Communisis plc (CMS.L), in its full-year trading update, confirmed that the trading for the year was in line with the board's expectations, with a strong second-half performance reflecting the continuing progress being made by its sales team in developing and commercialising its Marketing Services Provider proposition, together with tight operational control.
During the second half, the company continued to win major new contracts with the award of further work by Nationwide: the UK's largest building society. This additional work would result in a fourfold increase in annual revenues to nearly 10 million pounds in 2012. Pursuant to the contract, Communisis has assumed responsibility for 15 on-site staff at Nationwide's facility in Swindon, delivering creative and marketing communication services.
In the final quarter of the year, Communisis' expertise in purchasing and supply chain management was recognised through the award of Gold Certification by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
