Shares of PrivateBancorp Inc. (PVTB) rose steadily until mid-morning Wednesday, but settled into a range for the remainder of the session. The stock closed up by 0.83 at $14.71 on the highest volume of the year.
PrivateBancorp has been climbing since mid-December and closed Wednesday at a 7 1/2 month high.
