The US dollar depreciated almost 1 percent to reach an 8-day low of 76.78 against the Japanese yen around 9:40 am ET Friday from Asian session's high of 77.50. The greenback-yen pair is presently worth 76.80 with 76.60 seen as the next likely downside target level.
